What is LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com?
Now owned by LinkedIn, Lynda.com has been the leading provider of online learning content for 20 years. Lynda.com has more than 252,000 video tutorials and over 7,400 courses, ranging from computer programming to project management including instruction on various computer software, programming languages, and business topics. Many the courses are directly tied to the careers on Ohio’s In Demand Jobs list (more than 230 careers). The video courses are taught by industry experts and are designed for any skill level. Lynda.com also offers more than 50 different learning paths to help users stay ahead in their current job or change careers. Examples of learning paths include how to become a web developer, IT security specialist, project manager, or small business owner.
How Do I Get Access?
First, you’ll need a library card from an Ohio public library. To find a public library in Ohio near you, please visit https://oplin.org/fal/
If you already have a card, please check to make sure it is current.
Now, you can access LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com by logging in through your library’s website with your library card number and PIN.
After creating an account, you can watch videos, create playlists, bookmark pages, download course files and obtain Certificates of Completion. Video tutorials can be viewed from any computer with an internet connection or your mobile device. View at the library or at your kitchen table – wherever learning is convenient for you. When you complete a course, a certificate can be uploaded to your LinkedIn profile.
